KAGADI: The ministry of works and transport is in final stages to launch an application that will be used by traffic police on check points to verify vaccinated passengers.
This has been revealed by the state minister for works and transport Hon. Fred Byamukama who is the Bugangaizi west member of parliament while in an interview with UG Report this evening.
Minister Byamukama says this will enable police and drivers to find out whether passengers are vaccinated by verifying the card numbers presented.
He however says before the App is launched, passengers need to travel with their vaccination cards or books in order to be allowed to travel.
Byamukama has asked the general public to embrace the vaccination campaign because in the future no person will be allowed to use any transport means without proof of vaccination.
