KIBAALE: A 23-year-old man in Kibaale district has taken his own life by drinking poison after his wife’s failure to return back home from her parents following their marriage break-up.
Deo Mugisa alias Mukiira, a resident of Bugonga-Igomero Village in Bwamiramira Sub County was this afternoon pronounced dead at St Luke Bujuni Health Centre III where he had been rushed after drinking 24D a pesticide that he took days ago in front of her wife’s parents
Talking to www.ugreports.com have learnt that Mukiira on Monday this week, went to Kibeedi in Nyamarunda Sub County to persuade his wife Scovia Nampijja from her parent’s home but when she insisted never to return, the latter drunk the 24D pesticide that he had bought in front of the parents of his wife.
Omuhereza Kuganyira, the Mother of Mukiira and a resident of Kibingo Village, says her son got a misunderstanding with his wife Scovia Nampijja who accuses him of chronically returning back home late in the night from Bars of Kibingo trading center.
Girigoori Katusabe, the area Village chairperson has confirmed the incident cautioning the youth especially those in marriage to always resort to elders whenever they get misunderstandings decision.
