3.1 BILLION SECURED TO UPGRADE KIBAALE SCHOOL

KIBAALE: A total of 3.1 billion shillings has been secured to upgrade the existing St. Mugaga Seed Secondary school in Muhangi village Mugarama Sub County in Kibaale District.

The construction site for the school has been handed over to the contractor Niem Establishment Limited today.

According to the two year contract awarded to Niem Establishment Limited, 3.1 billion shillings is meant for the construction of three blocks consisting of (2 classrooms and 2 unit science laboratory block).

Others are construction of five stance VIP latrine for boys, five stance for girls, 5000 litre capacity water harvesting tank, ICT block, multi-purpose hall, administration block and staff quarters among others.

Speaking at the launch, the Kibaale Deputy Resident District Commissioner, Caroline Kashaiza Muyambi asked the contractor to follow Bills of Quantities and asked the stakeholders to do their respective roles in implementing the project.

”The contractor should follow Bills of Quantities as the stakeholders to do their respective roles in implementing the project,” she asked.

Edward Muyingo from Niem Establishment Limited pledged to follow the guidelines in line with the bills of quantities and called for cooperation among the stakeholders.

John Babwetera Salongo, the Political Assistant to Finance Minister Matia Kasaija has asked residents and teachers to now focus on educating children saying Hon. Matia’s efforts are focused at uplifting education standards in Kibaale among other service delivery sectors.
