3 ARRESTED OVER POSSESSION OF FIREARMS IN KWANIA

KWANIA: Police of Kwania Central Police Station have arrested three people for being in possession of firearms.

The suspects have been identified as Nelson Atine, Nicholas Aryong, residents of Acwao parish and Opio Sam, a retired UPDF soldier and a resident of Ojok-Dot trading center in Nambieso Sub County.

The suspects were arrested on Monday at Ojok-Dot trading center and were taken to Kwania central police station.

Jimmy Patrick Okema, the North Kyoga regional police spokesperson said the tri was arrested after they were seen loitering with guns and threatening members of the community.

They were charged with being in illegal possession of firearms.
