ALL IS SET FOR KMG AWARDS – CEO CLINTON

MASINDI: Following the suspension of some businesses including shows, entertainers are hopping to resume the business this month. According to Sean Clinton the CEO Kitara Music Generation Awards {KMG}, they are set for awards scheduled to take place on 5th February this year at Lado Hotel Masindi.

Clinton said they were supposed to be awarded last year in June, but they were affected by lock down imposed by President Museveni to curb the spread of corona virus in the country. ‘’All is set for the awards, nominations were done, and they were supposed to be awarded last year however, we were affected by lock down,’’ he asserted.

Clinton also told www.ugreports.com in a special interview that the awards are to appreciate the local artistes mostly in Masindi district. ‘’Due to little resources, I have decided to award the artists in Masindi district, but I also have a plan to include artists in the entire Bunyoro sub region,’’ he noted.

He also added, ‘’We have 21 categories of awards including the best male artist of the year, best artist of the year, best promoter of the year, best music label of the year, best video director of the year, and many others.’’

Clinton asked fans to attend in person to witness when their artists are being awarded noting that the tickets can be got at any supermarket, or radio station or any nominated artiste. ‘’The doors will be opened by 9am till late,’’ he further noted.
