KAGADI: Police in Kagadi district are investigating the circumstances under which two family members were murdered.
Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine region police mouthpiece, identified the deceased as Clovis Byaruhanga, 50, and his son only as Birungi residents of Kasoga village, Kyangwali, in Kikuube district.
According to Hakiza, it’s alleged that Byaruhanga received a phone call from someone telling him to go to Kagadi, thus asking his son Birungi to ride him there.
Hakiza says on Friday at around 2 a.m., police from Kagadi received information from one of the link bus personnel that they had found two bodies in Kyezige lying along Kagadi-Hoima.
When police arrived on the scene, they also found a motorcycle registration number UEF 444H, a red-colored Bajaj Boxer, 7 meters from the bodies.
Hakiza said the two dead bodies were identified and conveyed to Kagadi Hospital pending postmortem, and the suspects are still at large.
