BUL FC LIFTS UGANDA CUP TROPHY

MASINDI: The Jinja based Bul Football Club has today {Sunday} been crowned the champions of the Uganda cup season 2021/2022.

The game was played at King George Stadium Masindi. Bul FC won the game against Vipers Soccer Club 3-1 in the 90 minutes.

After a good play in the first half, Bul FC’s Karim Nguggwa headed the ball inside the goal to make it 1 for the Jinja based football team, in the 42nd minute Bul FC’s Simon Oketch scored a second goal.

And in the 53rd minute of the second half, Karim Ndugwa scored the third goal for Bul FC, however in the 71st minute Halid Lwaliwa scored the only goal for Vipers.

After the game, there was awarding of prizes to the players who have performed well during the tournament and Kalwoya Emma of Bul FC was awarded as the best goalkeeper, Ochora Walter of Bul FC was awarded the best defender, Simon Peter Oketch of Bul FC voted as best midfielder and also Bul FC’s Karim Ndugwa was voted as the best striker.

The winner of the Uganda cup that is sponsored by Stanbic Bank and Plascon paint company for the season 2021/2022 has taken home shillings 50 million, runners up 25 million, semi-finalists shillings 12 million, quarter finalists shillings 6 million, round of 16 shillings 3 million, round of 32 two million.

The game was graced by the Budiope County Member of Parliament also the FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo Hashim, Vipers Soccer Club President Doctor Lawrence Mulindwa, Byamukama Rodgers the Kitara Region FUFA delegate and also the FUFA marketing manager, Stanbic bank Masindi branch manager Antony Nahamya, Plascon paint company marketing manager Daniel Kayongo and the Masindi district local council five chairman Cosmas Byaruhanga among others.
