BUNDIBUGYO WOMAN MP DONATES 671 MATTRESSES TO 2020 PLE BEST PERFOMERS

BUNDIBUGYO: The Bundibugyo District Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Josephine Babungi
has supported all the best performers in the 2020 primary leaving examinations with mattresses.

Delivering the donation to the 671 beneficiaries who excelled with first grade at Bundibugyo Boma Grounds on Wednesday, Babungi noted that she was inspired to reward the students as one way to encourage them to maintain their performance even in the higher institutions of learning.
The politician launched the imitative of rewarding the best performers in 2016.
Babungi also challenged students in sub candidate classes to strive at excelling with first grades so they are also able to be rewarded. She has since challenged parents to make it a point to take their Children back to school when they reopen next week.

John Byamukama, the District Education officer appreciated the Member of Parliament saying that she has played a big role towards the improved academic performance in the district. He pledged before the Woman Member of Parliament to maintain the performance of their students.
Kato Manisul, the Bundibugyo Town Council Speaker encouraged other leaders to borrow a leaf from the Woman Member of Parliament and give in their hand towards supporting development in the district.
Umar Muhanguzi, Bundibugyo Resident District Commissioner hailed the donor and quickly asked parents to provide other scholastic materials including books, pens, uniforms among others to the beneficiaries.

He also challenged parents to always ensure that their Children have lunch so that they are able to concentrate in class. Muhanguzi directed all the Schools in the district to ensure safety of the students when schools reopen by holding fast to the Standard Operating Procedures to curtail the spread of the Covid-19.
