BUNYORO KINGDOM SPONSORS FINANCIALLY CONSTRAINED STUDENTS

HOIMA: Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom through its Scholarship Fund that is meant to support the financially constrained students in Bunyoro has approved a number of students as the first lot to be benefit from the scheme in the academic year 2022 in different Universities of Uganda.

Each student is to be supported by the Kingdom with a tuition fee UGX2, 000,000 per semester to the end of the course beginning with academic year 2022.

The Minister of Social Services & Youth Affairs Owek. Patrick Katende indicated that the shortlisted students were drawn from different districts that make up Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom, and they include Mutegeki Patrick of Kiryandongo who will join Kampala International University taking Bsc Nursing Sciences,

Birungi Junior David of Masindi who will join Muni University also taking Bsc Nursing, Kusiima Hellen of Masindi to join Lira University taking Bsc Midwifery, Atugonza Bob of Buliisa to join Ndejje University taking Bsc Survey & Land Information, Kobusinge Jamilah of Hoima joining Busitema University taking  Mining Engineering, Kugonza Busobozi Micheal of Hoima City joining Ndejje University taking Bsc Survey & Land Information.

Ayesiza Jackline of Hoima City joining Mbarara University of Science and Technology taking  Bsc Nursing, Kaitairima Junior Annest of Kikuube to join Kampala International University taking Bsc Pharmacy, Kisembo Robert of Kagadi to join Mountain of the Moon taking Bsc. Agribusiness,  Kusemererwa Peninah of Kibaale joining Kampala International University taking Bsc. Medicine and Surgery

Owek Patrick Katende congratulated all the successful students and wished them the best of luck in their education endeavors but also urge them not to just read hard and make Bunyoro proud with academic success and also be great ambassadors of the Kingdom.
