BULIISA: The Prime Minister for Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom Andrew Byakutaga has insisted on unity among the people of Bunyoro if they are to develop their area.
Byakutaga sounded the call while officiating at the thanksgiving ceremony for Biiso Boda-Boda riders held at Albert Nile Hotel gardens in Biiso town council, Buliisa district on Saturday.
The prime minister noted that breaking away will not solve the problems for the people of Bunyoro but rather unity will enable them to work on them.
The premier’s remarks come at a time when a section of Bagungu in Buliisa district are pushing for their secession from Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom citing marginalisation and erosion of their culture.
Premier Byakutaga applauded the Boda-boda riders for their unity, cooperation and being organized and he promised to help them in accessing the driving permits.
Ronald Bikobo, the chairperson of Biiso Boda-Boda riders thanked the prime minister for honoring their invitation and he thanked him for his pledge to the riders.
