BULIISA: The construction of Biiso Main Market in Biiso town council Buliisa District is on its final touches to be handed over to the district and town council local government.
This has been revealed by Geoffrey Matongo Byahuka the company`s Community liaisons Officer techno three Uganda limited at Biiso market construction site.

In an interview with UG Reports this afternoon, Matongo explained that the market was supposed to be handed over on 8th December 2021 but since they had not yet gone through with the overall completion, the contractor had to request for some two month for the final completion.
Matongo adds that since they are now installing market stalls, he expects by 31st January 2022, the market to be handed over to the district local government.

He says initially the contractors were given a four month period to ensure that they complete the construction of the market, but due to some challenges like delay of construction materials from the factory to the construction site among others also led to the delay on the work.
Early last year, the government contracted techno three Uganda limited to construct Biiso Main Market under the Albertine Region Sustainable Development Program {ARSDP} with funding from World Bank, and the work commenced on 24th February 2021.
