KAMPALA: The latest landing on our news room indicates that former President of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Rtd. Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye has been Thursday morning arrested outside his home as he attempted to move to town in protest of the unreasonable commodity prices and alleged “political succession”.
In another breaking news, FDC candidate for the Omoro County Member of Parliament seat Owani Dick Denis has been reportedly kidnapped by gunmen this morning, according to the party president.
This morning Ugandans woke up to a viral tweet from the FDC party president Patrick Oboi Amuriat alleging that his member was kidnapped on his way to Omoro from the Rupiny radio talk show in Gulu at 8:30pm.
Amuriat twitter, ”He was on his way to Omoro from Rupiny radio talk show in Gulu at 8:30pm when this happened. We highly suspected this to be the handwork of the usual suspects fearing the strength of the FDC in this particular by-election.”
