BULIISA: Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited {UEDCL} which supplies power in the oil rich Buliisa district has Tuesday afternoon caused havoc after the power burnt all the electric appliances in Biiso Town Council.

The most affected are appliances which were connected by the time of the incident.

Abdul Karim the Resident Managing Director Biiso FM told ugreports.com that the power has burnt down all the electric gadgets worth billions.

‘’The radio is off, all the machines have been burnt, we have lost equipment worth a billion,’’ he explained.

Karim explains that they have already reported the matter to Biiso Police Station. ‘’We have also engaged our lawyer, we want the company to compensate us,’’ he said.

Yiga Matovu, the UEDCL Station Manager Buliisa explains that this was due to the broken conductor saying it wasn’t intentional.

‘’We apologise for what has happened, it’s not intentional, but accidental,’’ he said.

Matovu advised their customers to put their complaints in writing and they will forwarded them to the company’s headquarters in Kampala.
