FORMER NUP COORDINATOR APPOINTED RCC

BULIISA: The former National Unity Platform Coordinator Bunyoro Sub-region Godwin Angalia Kasigwa has been appointed the Resident City Commissioner {RCC} Fort Portal.

Angalia, who declined to comment on his appointment, told ugreports that what matters most is the love for the country. ”Since we have only one Uganda, we need to love and protect it,” he asserted.

In November 2020, Angalia met HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in Mbale City during the presidential campaigns where he denounced the opposition party.

Before joining the youthful opposition party, Angalia was in the Democratic Party. In 2016, he contested for the member of parliament Buliisa County on the Democratic Party ticket and unfortunately he didn’t go through.

In 2020, he picked interest in contesting for the same position in Buliisa County on the ticket of National Unity Platform, being the most vibrat promising politician, Robert Kyagulanyi the National Unity Platform President appointed him to coordinate Bunyoro sub region.

However, after tasting the juicy deal in the ruling National Resistance Party, Angalia defected after meeting President Museveni in Mbale City.

Angalia has been the National Resistance Movement Coordinator for Bunyoro subregion, and he has been appointed the Resident City Commissioner Fort Portal.
