HOIMA RELIGIOUS LEADERS TIPPED ON HIV/AIDS FIGHT

HOIMA: Religious leaders in Hoima have been called upon to preach morality and good discipline among the youths and the young generation.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with ugreports.com, Sarah Kayagi the chairperson HIV and AIDS parliamentary committee stressed that there is need for religious leaders to come out and preach the gospel of morality and good discipline among the youths as well as encourage those who are living with HIV/AIDS virus to go and receive their treatment.

Kayagi revealed that lack of discipline is blamed for the high rates of HIV/AIDS infections in the country since the youths have no respect for their parents and even elders and with hope now remaining in the hands of religious leaders.

Emmy Turyabagyenyi Kateera the Resident District Commissioner Hoima blamed the poor dressing code of some females in this generation saying it’s partly responsible for the increase of HIV/AIDS infection.
