HOIMA: Residents of Siiba Village Kibengeya Parish Kapapi Sub county Hoima District were on Sunday left in shock after finding a 40-year-old man murdered, body dumped in Budongo forest along Siiba – Waaki – Bisaju road.
The deceased was identified as Stephen Maliamungu, a resident of Bombo village in Bombo Sub County who was residing in Kibuye village in Kapapi.
According to Manuel Ubeling, the father of the deceased, the son didn’t have any misunderstanding with anyone in the area. ‘’My son didn’t have any misunderstanding with anyone, I don’t know why he was killed,’’ he said.
Moses Wanock the area secretary for defense told ugreports that they were informed by the road users who discovered the lifeless body of Maliamungu dumped in the forest.
‘’We were informed by the road users who discovered the lifeless body of Maliamungu dumped in the forest,’’ he explained.
Wanock also later informed the Kigorobya Police who rushed to the scene.
According to the police officer who spoke to our reporter on condition of anonymity, the deceased is suspected to have been killed and later the body dumped in the forest.
The deceased’s lifeless body was evacuated to Hoima Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for post-mortem.
However, we could not get an official comment from ASP Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson since his known number wasn’t available by press time.
