KABALE RECEIVES MEDICAL EQUIPMENT WORTHY 88M

KABALE: Kabale district has Thursday received medical equipment and supplies worth 88 million shillings from USAID Rhites South West project that supports the Ministry of Health to provide comprehensive health services.

The equipment included delivery beds, suction machine, patient monitor machine, Rescusitation table, Auto cliff container, surgical table, hand washing facilities, disposable aprons, gloves, and among others.

They were received by the district leadership, led by the district Chief Administrative Officer Edmond Ntimba, the LC5 Chairman Nelson Nshangabasheija and the district Executive committee members, the Kabale Municipality Mayor Emmanuel Sentaro Byamugisha, the district speaker Flavia Kanagizi among others.

Speaking at the handover of the equipment at Kabale district Rukiiko hall, the Chief of Party of USAID Rhites South West, Dr Edward Bitarakwate said that the equipment were donated with support from American People.

He added that the equipment are for all the Health centers but with Kamukira Health Center IV taking much equipment.

Dr Bitarakwate said that they intend to ensure that people get proper Health services and promised to keep supporting the district.

The Acting Kabale District Health Officer, Alfred Besigensi commended the USAID Rhites South West for the continuous support to the district towards improving the health services, hoping that the health workers will put them into the rightful use to improve service delivery.
