KAGADI: A 50-YEAR-OLD MAN KILLS BROTHER IN DOMESTIC FIGHT

KAGADI: Shock and grief have engulfed residents of Nyakabale village Nyamasa Parish Bwikara Sub County in Kagadi district after their own resident killed his brother in a domestic fight.
The suspect has been identified as Manimake Kyaligonza aged 50 a resident of the same address.
Manimake, a political analyst, allegedly fought his young brother Ismael Kaheeru to death after he attempted to stop him (Manikake) from fighting the wife.
According to residents, Manimake has been unruly and that for all the time and he has been conflicting with the family and also torturing his wife severely.
Gladys Birungi, the wife of the deceased, is asking the authorities to prosecute Manimake and punish him accordingly.
”The authorities should prosecute and punish him accordingly for killing my husband,” she asked.
According to the village chairperson, Roger Kaahwa, after the shocking information this morning they contacted police to arrest Kyaligonza.
”After getting the shocking information, I contacted the police which swung into action and arrested him,” Kahwa said.
The Kagadi District Police Commander SP Moses Muzima Kiconco confirmed the arrest and said the suspect is their custody at Kagadi Central Police Station.
”He is currently detained at Kagadi Central Police Station and will be charged with murder,” he said.
In last year’s report, Kagadi was ranked among the districts in the Albertine Region leading in domestic violence.
