KAGADI LIKELY TO MISS IMPLEMENTING PARISH MODEL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

By Joseph Tindyebwa

KAGADI: Kagadi district in Bunyoro sub region Western Uganda is likely to miss implementing parish model development program.

This follows the delayed return of 105 Parish chiefs and ward agent academic credentials that were taken to Kampala for scrutiny after whistle-blowers smelt forgeries in recruitment has continued to worry residents.

The academic credentials were taken by the state minister for Local government Victoria Rusoke to be scrutinized after claims indicated that many people who had successfully been appointed had forged their papers but since then they have not been brought back.

Speaking to ugreports.com this afternoon, the Resident District Commissioner Kagadi Lillian Ruteraho says she is not very sure of what is taking place beyond this level.

She adds that according to the minister, had promised to return the credentials within 2 weeks before the 20th of January 2022 something that is not yet fulfilled.

Ruteraho says the parish model project is going to be launched in a few days but she doesn’t know whether Kagadi district will benefit if the minister fails to appear soon.
