KAKUMIRO BARMAID KILLED IN LODGE
It is alleged that the deceased had separated from her husband on the 20th of this month, the man made threats against her life over the phone.

KAKUMIRO: Police in Kakumiro district are investigating a murder incident that occurred in their jurisdiction.
The deceased, identified as Joan Teddy Nabwaya, was 19 years old and a barmaid at New Life Bar and Lodge in Kakumiro district.
Nabwaya was a resident of Kiriisa village in Kikada Parish in Kasambya Sub County.
According to Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson, reports indicate that the deceased was in the lodge with a man identified as Alex Muhumuza, aged 21 and a resident of the same area.
Hakiza explains that the duo was attacked by unknown assailants on Thursday at around 3 a.m.
The regional police mouthpiece added that the assailants came armed with pangas and torches, breached the door, and entered the room where the victims were resting.
Hakiza says that Muhumuza sustained injuries to his back and lost his left palm.

The survivor is receiving treatment at Kakumiro Health Center IV, while the deceased body has been taken for postmortem at the same health center.
