KAKUMIRO LEADERS RECEIVE CALF HEIFERS, PIGLETS FROM GOV’T
50 calf heifers and 500 piglets were distributed to all sub county leaders in Kakumiro district.

KAKUMIRO: 50 calf heifers and 500 piglets have been distributed to leaders of all Sub–Counties in Kakumiro District under Operation Wealth Creation to improve their income.
The distribution activity was witnessed by Prime Minister Rt. Hon Robinah Nabanja on Saturday at Kakeka play ground in Kakumiro Town council, Kakumiro district.
Rt.Hon. Robbinah Nabbanja the Prime Minister of Uganda asked leaders who were given calf heifers and piglets not to sell them but rather look after them.
‘’Don’t sell the calf heifers and piglets, you should look after them and improve your household income,’’ she advised.
The Manager internal auditor at the NAADS secretariat Julius Mugisa who represented the executive Director of NAADS urged beneficiaries who were given calf heifers and piglets to take care of them as if they had paid their own money.
He added that even though the money is from the government it is taxpayers money.
Speaking at the same function, the Deputy Chief administrative officer Kakumiro District Fredrick Byekwaso revealed that calf heifers and piglets are very expensive and they need a lot of care if they are to be fruitful to their community.
Meanwhile, beneficiaries promised to look after the calf heifers and piglets given to them by the government for development.
