KAKUMIRO: Shock and grief have engulfed residents of Mukibati village in Mpasana town council Kakumiro district after finding their fellow resident dead in a mysterious way.
The deceased identified as Mujuni Abdul hailing from Mpongo village in Kyankwanzi district was new in the area and his lifeless body was discovered by residents on Monday in his house.
According to his neighbor Hajji Haruna, the deceased had separated with his wife and the mother of the children and since then he has been living desperately.
The deceased went missing three days back not until Sunday when the residents heard a bad smell and on breaking the door to the house they were traumatized by a decomposing body. The cause of his death is not clear.
Twijukye Stephen, the area chairperson expressed concern over people who just flock to his area without noticing them as the authorities which sometimes complicates their work.
Police visited and documented the scene and later authorized the relatives to proceed with the burial arrangements.
