KIRYANDONGO: Two people have Sunday perished in an accident at Kafu Bridge along Gulu – Kampala Highway.
The duo died on spot while the other two are nursing wounds at Kiryandongo district general hospital.
According to eyewitnesses, the car registration number UAW 416 which was ferrying charcoal to Uganda’s capital Kampala had a car burst thus lost control and overturned.
‘’The car had a tyre burst, lost control and overturned, two have people died on spot while two survivors have been rushed to Kiryandongo district general hospital for treatment,’’ an eyewitness explained.
Ms Faridah Nampiima, the Traffic Police spokesperson, confirmed the incident and said that police is working hard to identify the particulars of the deceased.
