KAZO MAN BEATEN INTO COMMA FOR ALLEGEDLY STEALING GOAT

KAZO: The Police in Kazo are investigating circumstances under which a 28-year-old man was brutally beaten and left in coma by unknown people for allegedly stealing two goats.

Kato Elias, a resident of Nyungu II village, Nyungu Parish, Kyampangara Sub-county, was reportedly found slaughtering two goats that did not belong to him.

It is said that the mob later pounced on and beat Kato who has been a casual labourer in Bugarihe Parish, Rwemikoma Sub-county, Kazo District was on Saturday into comma.

However Kato denies having stolen the goats saying they were given to him.

Police has since picked up and taken him to Kazo HCIV where he is currently receiving treatment as investigations into the matter continue.
