KIBAALE: MAN REMANDED FOR ATTEMPTING TO MURDER SON

KIBAALE: A 41-year-old man has been remanded to Kibaale government prison for the attempted murder of his 9-year-old biological son in Kibaale District.

Baguma Twebaze Byaruhanga, a resident of Kasaozi Village in Kayanja Sub County on Thursday appeared before Kibaale Chief Magistrate Deogratius Ssejjemba in a session at Kibaale district court premises at the district headquarters.

Prosecution told the court that Baguma, on the 5th of this month, unlawfully and maliciously tortured wounding his son, name withheld because he is a minor.

It was also heard that Baguma used a blunt object to hit his son and a panga which was first placed in fire to get hot and it was placed on the body of the son.

Baguma and the stepmother of the minor could not provide food for him to eat.

In the dock, the accused denied the charges which prompted the magistrate to remand him to Kibaale government prisons until the 19th of this month when his case will come up for further hearing.
