KIBAALE: Police in Kibaale district are investigating the circumstances under which a 20-year-old man was stabbed to death.
The deceased is identified as Batista Bayunve Twinomujuni, a resident of Wazira village in Kayanja parish in Kayanja sub-county.
It is alleged that at around 11:30pm on Tuesday while in a bar in Katwetwe trading center, the deceased picked up a quarrel with Bosco Nuwagaba, a resident of the same area for an unknown reason.
Nuwagaba picked a knife and stabbed Twinomujuni in the chest. He was rushed to Buseesa medical center for treatment while bleeding profusely where medics pronounced him dead on arrival.
ASP Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson, confirmed the incident and said that the suspect is in their custody at Kibaale central police station on charges of murder.
‘’The suspect is in our custody at Kibaale Central Police Station on charges of murder,’’ he said.
