KIBAALE TO UPGRADE SIX FEEDER ROADS

KIBAALE: The Kibaale district roads committee has agreed to upgrade six feeder roads across the district so that they can be taken by Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) for rehabilitation and maintenance in the next financial year.
This was revealed during a meeting held at Kibaale district headquarters, attended by Buyanja East Memebr of Parliament Dr Emely Kugonza, the district chairperson Godfrey Muhonge Kasanga, Chief Administrative Officer Kibaale Dorothy and representatives from engineering department among others stakeholders.

Noeline Kisembo Basemera the Kibaale district Woman Member of Parliament told ugreports.com that among the roads are Ngangi- Nyamarwa- Mubende road, Bukonda- Karutete- Ruboona- Kyakazihire road, Kibeedi- Kayembe- Kyanyi- Kiryanjagi road, Kateete- Bujogoro- Muzizi road, Karama- Kitutu- Katebe- Hapuuyo road and Kisaalizi- Kabahuuna- Igayaza- Birembo road.

The politician added that they have also asked the district council to write minutes accompanying the committee resolution that will help them to lobby UNRA to take up the roads.
Basemera noted that they have also agreed that within the next two weeks, a temporary bridge will be put at Kiyanja Bridge in Kyebando Sub County that connects to Igayaza in Kakumiro district, and completion of Kyabaganda- Muzizi bridge that is in process and construction of Katebe bridge.
