KIKUUBE: Samuel Muganzi the Principal Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Kikuube was Wednesday appointed as the new Development Response to Displacement Impact Project (DRDIP) Desk Officer.

DRDIP is a regional program under the Office of the Prime Minister funded by the World Bank to address the impacts of hosting refugees.

In this project members of the Community form groups and identify projects which are funded through the district.

The outgoing officer Flavia Nabwire in her hand over speech appreciated the District, Town Council and Subcounty leadership for all the full support rendered to her during her term of office.

The District Chief Administrative Officer Chelangat Kamalingin while officiating the function called for Information cooperation inorder to equip the district officials with full information about the project.

The chief administrative officer also commended the outgoing DRDIP Focal Person for the dedication and tireless work she has given to the project during her time of Office.


The Kikuube District Chairperson Peter Banura tasked the Technocrats to walk the talk. ”Let’s do our work diligently and be exemplary,” he said.

In the same meeting the District appointed Abiteekaniza Francis Kiva the Clerk to Council as the new UNHCR Refugee Focal Person.

The meeting was attended by the District Chairperson, CAO, PACAO, Communication Officer, DEC members, HODs and the DRDIP Project Staff.
