KIKUUBE H/CIV THEATRE TO RESUME SERVICES NEXT MONTH

KIKUUBE: Government and stakeholders have taken a move to operationalize the Kikuube Health Centre IV theatre.

The Theatre which has not been functioning for more than two years due to lack of an Anesthetist is set to Commence by March this year.

The theatre Anesthetist has also been recruited who will be administering Anesthesia to Patients going for Surgery or other Medical Procedures.

This was revealed on Tuesday evening during a meeting at Kikuube Health Centre IV Premises convened by officials from the ministry of health and Hoima Regional Referral.

Speaking during the meeting, Richard Mugahi the Commissioner from the Health Ministry revealed that the theatre will be ready in two weeks time which will reduce the high death rates caused by the overwhelming numbers in Hoima Regional Referral Hospital.

”We shall support the  health  facility with Knowledge and skill,” Mugahi said. He also called upon district stakeholders to ensure that all services are brought nearer to their People.

Dr. Gerald Asaba the District Health Officer  was enlivened about the spirited fight that local governments and the ministry have exhibited in ensuring the cesarean sector operates.

Peter Banura, the Kikuube district chairperson, challenged the medics and stakeholders to walk the talk.

He also urged them to do their best especially in this time of the Oil and Gas phase where many people are flocking into the district hospitals for services.
