KIKUUBE POLITICIANS CHALLENGED TO MAKE GOOD USE OF GOV’T MOTORCYCLES

KIKUUBE: Kikuube District in the Midwestern Uganda has Thursday handed over seven brand new Yamaha motorcycles to sub county chairpersons and town council mayors in the district.

The Motorcycles with number plates UG4520R, UG4521R, UG4522R, UG4523R, UG5021R, UG5022R and UG5023R were distributed in a colourful ceremony at the district premises.

Speaking at the handover of the motorcycles, Chelangat A. M Kamalingin the District Chief Administrative Officer tasked the local leaders to ensure Safety and proper use of these motorcycles to enable them fulfill their intended purpose.

‘’You should ensure safety and proper use of these motorcycles to enable them to fulfill their intended purpose,’’ said Kamalingin.

Amlan Tumusiime the Resident District Commissioner urged the Sub County and Town Council Bosses to desist from using these Motorcycles in wrong places and time.

‘’Don’t use these motorcycles in the wrong places and time, they are meant to serve the communities we are in,’’ he urged.

Kazin Francis the Buhaguzi Member of Parliament revealed that these motorcycles have come in the time the district needed them most.

The legislator further added that the motorcycles are going to help these leaders to monitor and supervise the Implementation of the Parish Development Model.

Peter Banura the District Chairperson Commended the President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the Government for the provision of the motorcycles not only in Kikuube but in the entire country.

He further urged the local leaders to work very hard and ensure Monitoring and Sensitisation of Government Programs.

The handover function was witnessed by the Buhaguzi County legislator, the chief administrative officer, resident district commissioner, the district chairperson, DEC members and the media.
