KAMPALA: Amlan Tumusiime the Kikuube Resident District Commissioner has Friday afternoon met Hon. Milly Babalanda the Minister for Presidency in her office.

According to Tumusiime, the matters discussed included the Bukinda land issues in his district. ”We discussed a lot of issues including the Bukinda land issues,” he asserted.

The resident district commissioner also disclosed that Minister Babalanda appreciated the efforts he is injecting in the Bukinda land issues. ”The minister also assured me that she is going to write to the president and seek guidance,” Tumusiime said.

Speaking to ugreports in the special interview, Tumusiime refuted the allegations that he citing the evictees noting that he has no intentions of contesting in Kikuube district.

”My home district is Hoima, i have no intentions of contesting in Kikuube or Hoima. I’m here to serve the people of Kikuube,” he asserted.

He also noted that no one will evict the Bukinda people unless he is transferred.


Tumusiime has asked the people of Bukinda to be discplined, and keep calm assuring the issue to be sorted out noting its already in the hands of the President Museveni.

Over 6,000 families which were evicted in Bukinda Kasonga parish Kyangwali sub county in Kikuube district have camped at the office of the resident district commissioner Kikuube.
