KITARA FC HOIMA UNVEILS NEW SPONSOR

KAMPALA: The Hoima based Kitara Football Club has unveiled Kinyara Sugar Ltd as their official shirt sponsor from February to September 2023.

The colourful event took place today {Wednesday} at Grand Imperial Hotel in Uganda’s Capital Kampala.

The Kinyara Sugar Limited Corporate Communications Manager, Caroline Amongin, said they have decided to support a team in Bunyoro region because the story of Kinyara Sugar and Bunyoro region are inseparable and being their area of operation, their focus is also directed towards growing talent within the community.

‘’We are delighted to announce our continued support to sports and we are particularly proud to be embarking on this exciting new title sponsorship with Kitara Football Club,” She said.

According to Ms. Amongin, this is a unique opportunity because as a company, sponsorships of this kind become part of the business’ identity which enhances the company’s brand image and relationship with stakeholders.

According to the president of Kitara Football Club, Mr Deo Kasozi Aheebwa, the club is currently the best in the region according to the current performance in the FUFA Big league.

He said this sponsorship has come at the right time when the club has just recruited one of the best Football Coaches in Uganda and the best players to the squad and on the verge of qualification into the Uganda First Division Football League.

Aheebwa appreciated the sponsorship from the best sugar company and said they shall ensure excellent value for money as the club has a robust transparency and accountability system.

‘’We hope that our partnership will attract many more good players to the team and Kitara Football Club will reap the benefits of the partnership,’’ he said.

With more than 50,000 fans across the region, the club shall work as a good platform for Kinyara Sugar Limited to not only promote all their already high quality products but also promote the brand on all Kitara FC Platforms.

Kinyara Sugar supports many other sports like golf, cricket among others; however, they chose football because it has much more potential to bring people together.

The sport will give also give audience to the community which is aligned to their motivation to have the strongest community relations.

Seeing the company linked to these football events will be a source of pride to the entire Kinyara fraternity.
