KWANIA: Kwania County MP Hon. Tony Ayo has accused the District Service Commission of receiving bribes from job applicants.

In January Kwania District Service Commission advertised for  151 vacancies including 105 for primary school teachers, 15 posts for watchmen, potters, 15 and  7 positions for parish chiefs.

According to Ayo, members of the District Service Commission were receiving bribes from those who have applied for jobs in the district.

Ayo Tony said the recruitment in Kwania district is plagued with favouritism, and most of those being recruited are friends, relatives and in-laws of members of the District Service Commission.

He asked Kwania district CAO Richard Arikwannga Noon to investigate the matter.

Tom Odur Anang the chairperson of Kwania District Service Commission denied the allegation as false and meant to tarnish the image of the District Service Commission.

Kwania district chairman Geoffrey Alex Ogwang Adyebo said the District Service Commission is working well, and trashed claims by Tonny Ayoo as mere political propaganda.
