LC1 DEFENCE CHAIRPERSON ARRESTED OVER BULL THEFT

BUKEDEA: Peter Omadi Otiono the defence chairperson for Tank Cell in Bukedea town council has been arrested on allegations of connecting theft of a bull belonging to David Omoding.

Omadi was arrested on Sunday and he is detained at Bukedea Central Police Station. The arrests led to the detention of other six suspects identified as James Arebon, Simon Masse, Samurai Pius, Opio and Odong, both meat dealers among others.

Vicent Aaje, the owner of the bull who sold it to Omoding managed to identify the bull’s remains after it was slaughtered by the accused.

Oscar Gregory Ageca, the East Kyoga police spokesperson confirmed that so far seven have been rounded up and detained in Bukedea Central Police Station.

However, preliminary information ascertained that most of the meat sold in Bukedea are stolen cattle.
