ARUA: Leaders in the West Nile City Arua have asked parents and schools to embrace child integrated days.
Child integrated days run in the month of April and October with a special focus on improving child health.
In the two months, services such as routine immunization, vitamin A plus supplementation, health promotions are part of the activities that take place.
In an exclusive interview with UGReports, Dr. Apango Pontius the principal medical officer Arua city said they are targeting children in schools and homes.
He further said they are working hand in hand with stakeholders so that the process can be successful.
The principal education officer Arua city Ombere Raymond said the education department is ready to support the program.
”The education department is ready to support the program,” he said.
He warned school heads who are against the program to stop.
The Resident City Commissioner Arua city Alice Akello said all the stakeholders should embrace and avail the chidden for the services.
She said the school heads that are sabotaging the government programs should be punished accordingly.
Child interrogated health days will be till the end of this month.
