HOIMA: The deceased has been identified as Robert Kahwa 36, a resident of Ibambala Kasingo Ward West Division Hoima City.

Kahwa who had gone to fuel his motorcycle at Stabex fuel filling station in Hoima City collapsed and died on spot. The incident happened this evening {Friday} at around 4pm.

According to Deo Kiiza, the deceased’s friend, he was surprised to hear that Kahwa is dead yet he had told him that at 5pm he will be going to pick pupils from school.

‘’The deceased was staging at the Equity Bank Hoima branch, I was surprised to hear that he is dead yet he had told him that at 5pm he will be going to pick pupils from school,’’ Kiiza wondered.

Fazili Sekasimu, manager at stabex fuel station told that the boda boda cyclist came to refill his motorcycle like any other customers.

‘’After fueling the motorcycle, made payment and he shortly collapsed and died instantly after kick starting his motorcycle,’’ he explained.

Richard Kugonza, deceased’s brother told that he only got a phone call from friends informing him that his brother is dead.

‘’My brother did have any health complications, I was shocked to hear that he is dead,’’ Kugonza wondered.

Police visited the scene and evacuated the lifeless body.

Efforts to get a comment from ASP Julius Allan Hakiza the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson was futile by the time of publication since he didn’t respond to our repeated phone calls.
