‘’The deceased was trying to cross a road that was full of running water after a heavy downpour, and the water overpowered and swept him,’’ he explained.
The regional police spokesperson said that the body could have been buried in the mud or swept into Lake Albert.
Hakiza revealed that, according to police observation, the deceased might have underestimated the running water, adding that the search is still on to recover the body.
The police officer cautioned the general public not to underestimate water, especially during this rainy season.
