MAN KILLS BROTHER IN MASINDI

MASINDI: Residents of Kibirani village in Pakanyi sub county Buruli Constituency Masindi district were Thursday left in shock after their colleague killed a brother.

Pius Jovana the area chairperson has identified the deceased as Mustaf Onega 30, while the suspect as Juma Wanichan 32.

Jovana told ugreports.com that the incident happened this morning at around 2a.m added that the Wanichan cut the brother suspecting him to be a thief.

He also explained that the deceased went to the brother’s home at around 2a.m, and allegedly started breaking the door.

”Wanichan was asleep and was awakened by the wife who told him that there was someone outside trying to break the door,” Jovana further explained.

The area chairperson also asserted that Wanichan came out and got the brother in the bathroom, cutting him into pieces. ”Wanichan didn’t recognize the brother by that time, he realized it later,” he contended.

ASP Allan Julius Hakiza the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson confirmed the incident and said that Onega passed on at around 3a.m while being evacuated to Masindi district general hospital, and the suspect is in their custody at Karogota Police Post.

”Onega passed on at around 3a.m while being evacuated to Masindi district general hospital for treatment, postmortem was done, and the suspect in our custody,” he asserted.

By press time, the lifeless body of Mustaf Onega was lying at Masindi district general hospital mortuary.
