MAN SURVIVES MOB OVER STOLEN MOTORCYCLE

KAGADI: A man in 20’s only identified as Kazungu, a casual labourer in Kiryanga village, Karyanga sub-county in Kagadi District has survived being lynched by angry boda-boda men suspecting him to have stolen a Bajaj motorcycle.

JohnBosco Byamugisha a boda-boda man from Kiryanga sub-county told ugreports.com that the suspect Kazungu has been riding his motorcycle as a friend but escaped with it on Sunday.

Byamugisha said the stolen motorcycle belongs to his brother also boda-boda man in Kiryanga.

The suspected Kasungu was intercepted this morning by angry Boda-Boda riders along Muhorro-Kagadi road near Kagadi court.

However, as mob attempted to lynch him, he pleaded with them forgiveness to lead them to where he had hidden the stolen motorcycle in Kiryabyuenju village in Kibanga Ward Kagadi town council in Kagadi district.

Reaching in Kiyrabyenju the motorcycle was not there but luckily he was saved by Kagadi Police that swung into action before angry residents ended his life.

The O/C station Kagadi CPS ASP Keneth Bakashaba warned residents against mob justice and asked residents to always report theft cases to Police.

The suspect was whisked away by Police and is currently detained at Kagadi CPS.
