MBALE FLOODS: DEATH TOLL RISE TO 16

According to local media houses, the number of people retrieved reached 16 by Monday morning.

MBALE: The number of people who have been retrieved from the flooding water in Mbale City has clocked to 16.

Yesterday five people were reportedly retrieved including the Uganda Peoples Defence Forces {UPDF} officer identified as Private Sam Chemulindwa, 26, who was serving in the 53 infantry battalion, 407 Brigade under the Third Division.

According to local media houses, the number of people retrieved reached 16 by Monday morning.

DOZENS FEARED DEAD IN MBALE DISASTER

John Bosco Mutinye says that ten people belonging to one family who were traveling in the super custom vehicle for the introduction ceremony in Kabwagasi were discovered dead this morning.

‘’The car was discovered in River Nabuyonga near Townside High School, there were eleven, ten have been retrieved and one still missing,’’ he said.

Mutinye also explained that two more Somalis were discovered dead near IUIU.

The lifeless bodies are being evacuated to the Mbale City mortuary.
