MEMBERS OF MK PROJECT TO GET ASSISTANCE

KASESE:  Members of Muhoozi Kianerugaba(MK) project are to get assistance from the project  as part of its  efforts to improve their  incomes.

The development has been revealed by the project coordinator for Rwenzori region Joyce Daphine Wallemba, who doubles as the project’s head of fiancé for western region.

Walemba made the revelation while addressing MK project coordinators from the Rwenzori region during a mobilization meeting held at Rwenzori International University in Kasese Municipality on Thursday.

She explained that the project intends to supply 10,000 pigs, 50,000 goats, 50,000 chickens and 30,000 cows to the project supporters in the Rwenzori region alone.

She however clarified that they are going to distribute 100 pigs for the start and also give cassava stems to the members for food security accompanied by fruits trees among other items.

Walemba asked the members to observe unity, peace and be faithful to enable the smooth implementation of the program.

Rabson Kule, the coordinator Kikongo Rugendabara Town council in Busongora North constituency welcomed the initiative saying it will help   improve the lives of many people in the region if well handled.

On his part, Fiabi Musoki, the project’s vice coordinator for Nyakabingo sub-county in Busongora county South said MK project seeks to unite and develop the entire country through fighting corruption and sectarianism.
