MISS TOURISM BUNYORO REGISTRATION KICKS OFF

MASINDI: The registration of Miss Tourism Bunyoro has kicked off, and the deadline is 20th June 2022, the revelation was made Saturday morning by Ms. Karungi Ritah Abwooli the Cluster Head Miss Tourism Bunyoro.
Karungi told ugreports.com that the regional registration of participants from the seven districts that make up Bunyoro sub region is targeting the fresh young ladies between 18 – 27 years of age and from within the region.
‘’The interested participants should be nulliparous and spinster between the age of 18 – 27 years and from within the Bunyoro sub region,’’ she asserted.
Bunyoro sub region has seven districts and they include; Buliisa, Masindi, Hoima, Kiryandongo, Kibaale, Kagadi and Kakumiro.
The Cluster Head Miss Tourism Bunyoro disclosed that the host will be Hoima Oil City, and the competition aims at empowering a girl child.

‘’The girls gain confidence through the mentorship programs, regional tours that are part of the competition activities. Eight girls have so far been attracted and ready to represent the tourism attractions in their respective districts,’’ she asserted.
Karungi further told ugreports.com that the girls have been attracted from the districts of Buliisa, Kiryandongo, Masindi, Kibale, Kagadi and Hoima noting that they are yet to get from Kikuube and Kakumiro.
‘’Our target is to promote our culture, tourist sites in the region and others. The best three crown participants will represent the region at the national level,’’ said Karungi.
Karungi also noted that the best participant will be crowned the Miss Tourism Bunyoro while others will be ambassadors in their respective districts.
According to Karungi, several last years, contestants have got jobs and also launched their foundations adding that success stories will be heard on this year’s crowning day.
‘’I encourage the young ladies from within Bunyoro to participate in this forthcoming competition since they will gain confidence through the mentorship programs, get job opportunities, and other benefits,’’ she encouraged.
Karungi also called upon all the sponsors to support the cause because it’s aimed at promoting the region and also attracts investment opportunities in the region.
