KAGADI: Muslims have been cautioned to remain in harmony and peaceful in order to fight against domestic violence.
The call was made Tuesday afternoon by the Buyaga West Member of Parliament Hon. Barnabas Tinkasiimire while speaking as the chief guest during the swearing in ceremony of Buyaga Muslim County in the Kibaale Muslim District.
The politician said the muslims should have harmony in families in order to fight against domestic violence.
Hon. Tinkasiimire asked Muslims to embrace Islamic Banking thus promising to engage Members of Parliament to support the funding.
Sheik Isingoma Muhammad, the Kibaale Muslim District Khaz, asked the new Muslim leaders to be confident, work hard and always consult for guidance.
The Buyaga Muslim County chairperson Hajji Isha Tibenda also promised to work together with other leaders for the development of Muslim community.
A total of 121 Leaders were sworn in taking oath as per the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council and thus showing readiness to start the work of Allah.
