NEGATIVE PUBLICITY HINDERS INVESTORS IN KIKUUBE, SAYS BANURA

KIKUUBE: The Kikuube District Chairperson Hon. Peter Banura has urged the district leadership to focus on positive issues and to always aim at building a good public Image for the district.

The district boss added that negative publicity has caused many of the Kikuube district leaders a low self-esteem and discouraged big investors to invest in the district.

The politician revealed this during a handover ceremony of the outgoing Chief Administrative Officer Chelangat A.M Kamalingin to the incoming Chief Administrative Officer Ajwang Dorothy Akiiki on Thursday at the district headquarters.

The Outgoing Chief Administrative Officer Chelangat A.M Kamalingin has spent one year and six days of service in Kikuube district local Government after he replaced the then CAO Moses Chuna Kapoloni.

Chelangat expressed his gratitude to the technical staff, Political leaders, the Central Government staff and the Development Partners for the good work and cooperation rendered to him during his term of Office which began on the 8th of July 2021 and has ended on the I4th of July 2022.

The Outgoing CAO again thanked everyone who guided him, advised, engaged and above all who loved him which he evidenced today when he received beautiful gifts from the district technocrats and the RDC.

The Incoming Chief Administrative Officer Mrs Ajwang Dorothy who was overjoyed by the warm welcome revealed that she has Avast experience after working for 30 years.

The new admin requested for a chance to be entrusted with Kikuube District since she is well intentioned and a very hard-working lady.

The new CAO tipped leaders on making proper use of the many Non-Government Organisations in the district, by directly benefiting from their projects and also taxing them hence revenue enhancement.

She promised to carry out some house cleaning by eliminating the continuous infights in the district of Kikuube.

‘’The fights may cause the district to lose a lot of opportunities especially now when the district is eyeing the oil and gas phase,’’ she said.

However the Kikuube Resident District Commissioner Amlan Tumusiime urged the new CAO to kindly share her vast experience with Kikuube and to also take keen interest in some of the issues in the district.

Tumusiime called upon the new admin to also interest herself in the many Government Projects like Emyooga, SAGE, UWEP, PCA and the Mighty Parish Development Model among others to enable full Implementation of these projects.
