NRM CONTESTERS THREATEN LEGAL ACTION AGAINST PARTY OVER EALA ELECTIONS

KAMPALA: NRM members who are being thrown out of the EALA elections have threatened to take the party to court for dropping them out of the contest.

They said there is no law requiring the CEC to decide who should go to the EALA.

They have now given the NRM three days to respond to there concern, if not they will take it to court.

These threatened to sue the Party include Kato Musa, Mivule Ronald, Ruth Kalungi among others

Meanwhile, their lawyer Rutaro Robert Muhairwe said the CEC has no authority to decide which people should go to the EALA parliament , it’s only NRM Parliamentary caucus has the mandate.

However, in an interview with NRM National Electoral Commission Chairman Dr Tanga Odoi, he said he has no problem with them whether they go to court.

Odoi  added that all his actions are legal.
