ARUA: Muni University Council, senate, management and family of Professor Christine Dranzoa have released the official funeral program.
On Thursday there will be a night vigil at Kitintale in Kampala.
Friday there will be a requiem mass at St Augustine church Makerere in Kampala at 2pm.
On Saturday the body of the deceased will be transported to Arua later on at 5pm there will be requiem mass at Muni University.
On Sunday there will be a requiem mass at her home in Anyafio at 3pm
On Monday 4th there will be Muni university council to pay tribute to the late later in the afternoon there will be special council sitting by Arua city council at Arua city council and later on requiem mass at Christ the king church before departure to Moyo on the same day.
On Tuesday 5th there will be a special council session for all westnile districts at Moyo district headquarters and on Wednesday the body of the fallen giant will be laid to rest at Moyo mission in Moyo district.
Dranzoa Christine died at the age of 55
In 2010, Dr. Dranzoa was appointed to lead a three-person task-force to prepare for the creation of Muni University, the sixth public university in Uganda.
In January 2012, when the university became operational, Professor Dranzoa became the founding Vice Chancellor of the institution till her time of death.
The principle education officer Arua city Ombere Raymond has called on parents to emulate the example of professor Dranzoa so that her death can revive the spirit of children to love education.
Ombere says professor Dranzoa has not only been an icon in West Nile education system but for the whole country.
He further says parents should raise their children in a humble manner so that they can achieve what they want in life.
