KIKUUBE: Hon. Jennifer Kacha Namuyangu the Minister State for  Bunyoro Affairs Friday handed over 620 Iron sheets and dummy cheques worth 23 million shillings and 32 million shillings respectively from the office of the Prime Minister {OPM} to the Micro- Project Groups and Parish Community Association {PCA} in Kikuube District

In her speech, Hon Namuyangu revealed that over shillings 23,540,000 will benefit Micro projects and shillings 32,100,000 will benefit Parish Community Association

The minister also handed over 620 Iron sheets to the three district legislators and the district chairperson to support their electorates and also the people affected by Disasters in the district.

The Kikuube Resident District Commissioner Amlan Tumusiime warned against misuse of the fore said funds and also promised to arrest the culprits.

‘’You shouldn’t misuse the said fore funds because it’s for the benefit of citizens. I will arrest the culprits,’’ he vowed.

Peter Banura the Kikuube district LCV chairperson applauded the minister Namuyangu for considering the disaster affected persons especially those who were hit by hail storm in Buhuka and some other parts of the district.

Banura also commended the President of Uganda H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for trying as much as possible to improve household income through the Parish Development Model.

Speaking during the function, Kazini Francis Twinomujuni the Buhaguzi county legislator requested that Ruhunga Secondary school in Buhimba Sub County be considered fully a Government aided seed secondary school.

‘’Government should consider aiding Ruhunga secondary school,’’ he said.
