MASINDI: Over twenty learners in Masindi district have benefited from the one month go back to school campaign. The campaign was organized by Zion Palace Nursery and Primary School.
Philip Muhumuza the headteacher Zion Palace Nursery and Primary School explains that the purpose of the campaign was to support the parents who were hit hard by the outbreak of corona virus pandemic.
”Over twenty learners have benefited from the campaign and five have been awarded full bursaries, and we hope to support more,” he asserts.
Scholastic materials that were awarded to all learners despite the difference in schools or religion, and they includes books, pencils, pens, mathematical sets, and others.
Richard Batuga, a parent and also a resident of Kabarwana cell says that he has been relieved from buying some items thus will be able to pay school tuition.
”Have been able to take back my child to school since i was relieved from buying some scholastic materials,” he notes.
Bridget Kyalisiima commends the school administration for the initiative adding that it has motivated learners to report back to schools after the two years lock-down.
On Monday, the school administration also purchased bouncing castle and other playing materials for the kindergarten pupils.
Pamela Musiimenta the head of nursery section told ugreports.com that the materials purchased will boost the learners capacity of learning since its very vital for learners to have such items.
”These materials will play big a role in refreshment of our learners and this will the learning capacity,” she contended.
