OVER 30,000 TREES TO BE PLANTED IN FORT PORTAL CITY

FORT PORTAL: Over 30,000 trees are to be planted in the Fort Portal City to restore its nature, this was revealed on Friday during the Urban Greening Campaign in Fort Portal City.
The Resident City Commissioner Fort Portal City Angalia Godwin Kasigwa called for total environmental cleanliness amongst the citizens of Fort Portal to have a shining tourism City.
Angalia called up on the people of Fort Portal city to take up personal responsibility of ensuring restoration of the ecology and keeping of the city clean at all times in order to maintain a high standard of true tourism destination city.
“We should take up the responsibility of ensuring restoration of the ecology and keeping our city clean all the times in order to maintain a high standard of the true tourism destination city,” said Angalia.
He further  asserted the need for the citizenry to embrace government programs especially the industrialisation, Emyooga, PDM and other programs lined up by government to uplift the house hold incomes of the people
He was flanked by the Deputy RCC Allan Bamuha, Fortpotal City Mayor Asaba Ruyonga and many other dignitaries.
The Mayor Fortpotal City reiterated his earlier call to mantain a clean city and an environmentally friendly tourism destination.
