BUKEDEA: The office of speaker of the 11th, Parliament Rt. Hon. Annet Among Anita has conducted the training of 52 trainees on the basics of group management.

The training kick started on 31st, May and ended on 1st, June 2022 organized by the Rt. Hon. Annet Anita Among who doubles as the Woman Member of Parliament for Bukedea.

Among the participants include: Parish Chiefs, Community Development Officer, Resident District Commissioner, District Police Commander, Commercial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer.

The trainees were trained by the senior micro finance consultant, Eddy Wamushya together with Wilfred Dokolinga Omara.

David Aporu, one of the Parish Chiefs during an interview with ugreports said that the training has equipped them with knowledge regarding group management.

“This training is of high value to us, now I’m able to handle village groups mostly on financial management,” said Aporu.

Hajji Imran Muluga, the Resident District Commissioner Bukedea who headed the training urged the participants to utilize the knowledge gained from the training.

“Let us take this knowledge we have gained from this two day training to train our group members in the society,” said Imran.

Siporah Akol, the political assistant for the speaker in Bukedea said the initiative of training of the trainees was the speaker’s initiative to ensure that the groups which are to be formed under the parish development model and her groups are managed in the community.

“We hope to form over 300 groups in the mother Kolir sub county, and we are doing this as our pilot study before rolling out to all the sub counties,” said Akol.
